Nuturing

It's been a year since I last updated you on the stone fruit tree. At the time it suffered with peach curl and it started to have some again this year but it resolved itself. It's full of lush green leaves.

However, other trees on the property like the two pear trees are struggling this year to produce leaves - let alone fruit. The tops of the trees are showing signs of leaves but they aren't going very far. At first I thought it was the possums that are prolific around this area. However, it might be a lack of nutrients as well. The peach tree that was so poorly last is probably better this year because I put the chicken manure into the soil around it. The other tree didn't get that sort of treatment. So, I've now put some ferterlizer around the trees and I'm watering their bases daily to help them fight against the heat of summer.

Will it be enough? We'll see. I don't expect a beautiful garden, just a garden that doesn't die on me.

The kids need nuturing. They explorering and discovering what works and what doesn't work. Parents need nuturing. Marriages need nuturing. We reap what we sow.
