Taking care and showing love

We have a few stone fruit trees on our property. They were planted by the previous owner and I'm trying my best to keep them healthy. Most of them are along our driveway but one is in our backyard. That tree has been looking unwell each season we have been here - except this year.

This year, I decided that I wanted it to flourish and I have been paying special attention to it. I started by watching it to see how it was going. I noticed that it has peach curl and it's leaves looked diseased. I got on a ladder and picked the diseased leaves off and put them in a bucket to get rid of them.

Next, I made sure that the tree had food and water. I put the manure from the chickens at the base and dug them into the ground. I go out there regularly and water it. I kept watching it for signs of the disease but there were none. The healthy leaves grew green and rich with life.

Although there hasn't been any fruit on the tree and we don't expect any until the summer - it has a better chance now. All it needed was love.
