Getting back to normal
We've been in lock down for months. Term 3 was remote learning and Term 4 the boys are back at school. It's like a sigh of relief that things are returning back to how they used to be.
The house is a little tidier. There is less to clean up or we just didn't bother cleaning it up. It felt like Sisyphus's Boulder some days but we were happy to bear the burden.
Also, an update on the tree that fell on the house. We still have a tarp on and now birds are making a home for themselves in our roof. Work will commence soon. I've almost chopped up all the wood and stacked in the wood shed - ready for many cozy nights next Winter by the fireplace. My back is much stronger through the experience - just a few more left.
It was nice on the odd occasion where the kids would help take the wood to the shed for me and dump it on the ground. However, they only did it under the promise of sweets.
