Finding value
Our next door neighbour tore down their house. One day it was there and the next it was gone. They had moved out their possessions they had hired a demolitions company to tear it down with a excavator.
It got me thinking of how much value we put into our things that can be taken away from us. They serve a purpose but sometimes we drown in our possessions. They are hard to manage, store and sometimes we can't find them when we go looking for something we were holding on to.
The kids are getting older. We have been holding on to the pram and cot but, after some discussion, we've decided it times to let go of them. It's the end of an era but they have served their purpose and they are no longer valuable to us any more. They were gathering dust and so hopefully someone else can find some use for them.
