Love your work

When I was growing up and undergoing my last year of highschool, I had this quote on my wall.  He who seeks rest finds boredom. He who seeks work finds rest. (Dylan Thomas) For me, it meant that I could slack off if I wanted to but I would forgo the sense of accomplishment that comes from doing a job well. Teaching your children to love work, so they can help out, is hard. I recently came across this quote about how we all perform:  Show me the incentive and I will show you the outcome (Charlie Munger) It insipired me think more about the reward that the kids get from doing their tasks. We all know that punishment for not doing your work does not result in positive outcomes. Instead, having a reward after their work is done is the only way to get them to do their work - and for me to find rest.
